MoonFlower Toad Faerie - DT Post

I'd like to share a card I have made using Ashlee Toad Faerie by MoonFlower. You can find her here in the digi shop.

I coloured her in promarkers, added glitter to her wings, and fussy cut around her. I created the background with ink and stamps in Spring colours and set her in the foreground with some butterflies for company.

Andreia has lots more great digis in the pipeline for MoonFlower so it's worth subscribing to the newsletter on the blog as you won't want to miss out I promise you! You can also keep up to date via the Facebook page- we'd love to see you posting your creations there and at the moment there is a 'Wings and Things' challenge running so why not grab a faerie from the shop and play along?

Happy crafting!

Indigo Blu 'Just one Layer' Challenge Entry

I've had such a relaxed Sunday afternoon getting inky with my stamps and this is one of my creations of the day, using the gorgeous Poppy Meadow stamp set from Indigo Blu, and brusho paints.

It's been a while since I have used any stamps, and I adore Indigo Blu so I decided to pop by their blog and see what's new, and while I was there I discovered they are running a 'Just One Layer' ( find it here) challenge so decided to pop this one in for fun. I'm hoping the fact its mounted to frame my single layer won't mean I'm bending the rules!

This has really got my stamping bug going again so I can't wait to play with my other Indigo Blu stamps now!

Karleigh Sue Sexy Challenge- The Sea Can't Hold Me

Today see the start of a brand new sexy challenge over at Karleigh Sue Challenge Blog and this month the theme is 'Button Me Up'. I have a thing for all creatures mythical so couldn't resist using the beautiful mermaid digi called The Sea Can't Hold Me ( find her here).

I created the backing paper using Brusho paints to give a swirly water effect, and then added interest with a stencil and some salty ocean distress ink. The mermaid was coloured with promarkers. I added pearls, some coloured gravel, an anchor and some heart shaped buttons to the bottom of the ocean to add texture and interest. The sentiment is a stamp from Inkylicious and suited her perfectly. To finish the piece I embossed some frantage around it and mounted in a display frame to create an inspirational piece of art work.

We would love to see your sexy makes this month. You don't have to use a KS image but may qualify for an extra prize if you do so why not browse the shop and treat yourself!

You can also join the KS Facebook Fan Page here if you would like to keep up to date and join in the fun stuff that's happening there.

I hope this has inspired you to play along this month

MoonFlower Gigi Queen

Today I'd like to share a card I have made using the amazing Gigi Queen by MoonFlower. Isn't she stunning! Every girls should feel like a queen on her birthday right?  You can find her here. I don't mind admitting that the thought of colouring all that hair made me very nervous, but I am so pleased with the way she came out.

Such a stunning queen needed luxurious papers to set her off, and so I used some gorgeous wallpaper samples I was given by a friend as backing papers. The sentiment came free with a magazine last year, and I used a Sizzix crown die,Tattered Lace corner dies and ribbon and gems to embellish.

If you love MoonFlower digis as much as I do why not join the MoonFlower Digital Stamps Facebook Page to keep up to date. There is currently a 'Wings and Things' challenge running over there that you may want to play along with.

Happy crafting!

Ice Cream and Pickles- Pregnancy Congratulations Card

I absolutely adore this digi from Saturated Canary so I was thrilled to be asked to make a pregnancy congratulations card by a friend this weekend as it gave me the perfect excuse to dig it out and use it again. It is thought the baby will be a boy so I chose to use blue to reflect that ( let's hope the midwife was right!).

It's time for another challenge over at Karleigh Sue Challenge Blog and this month the theme is Anything Goes with the option of flowers.

My project uses the adorable Besties ( find them here) and I have coloured them with promarkers, and used papers and embellishments from my stash to decorate. I mounted them to create a polaroid type photo effect and used some scrapbooking sentiments.

We'd love to see you joining in the challenge this month. You can also share your creations on the Facebook Fan Page.

Hope to see you all joining in.
