Candy Kisses by Karleigh Sue

Hi folks. Ok so I was supposed to share this a couple of days ago, but do forgive me as it's the school holidays here in the UK and Monday to Friday I wear my  childminder work hat rather than my crafting hat, and it's the busiest time of year for me with ten children to keep me busy!

I'm here now though, coffee in hand and ready to share this total cutie from Karleigh Sue. She's called Candy Kisses and you can find her here. I absolutely loved colouring her up with my copics in gorgeous candy pastel colours. I teamed her up with matching paper from my stash, and a circular die cut mat taken from a shaving foam background that I made myself. Some ribbon, banners and buttons finished her off nicely. The sentiment stamp was free in a magazine a while ago.

Pony Tails and Shotgun Shells by Karleigh Sue

Time for some more DT inspiration from the Karleigh Sue team, and this week my project uses Pony Tails and Shotgun Shells. She's such a feisty looking gal that I wanted to portray her as a fearless fighter on this card. I used a forest gelli print as her backdrop. I know I wouldn't fancy going in there as it looks dark and spooky, but she's feeling brave! The sentiment is a stamp from Visible Image.

Don't forget you can now join us in the brand new Karleigh Sue Facebook fan group here too. We would love to see what you have been creating with your Karleigh images.

Prego Summer by Karleigh Sue

It's been hot hot hot here in the UK recently, and my thoughts have gone out to those mums to be who are struggling with their baby bumps and swollen ankles in the soaring temperatures. My niece has just started her maternity leave and will very soon be having her second child, so I made this card with her in mind using Prego Summer by Karleigh Sue.

The image is coloured in promarkers and copics and mat and layered on bright papers from my stash. I had an odd button ice lollipop in my box that fitted perfectly, and the small dots were made a while ago for me by Karleigh Sue's very own artist Cheri.

Karleigh Sue has a brand new Facebook fan page and we love to see your creations so do join us if you are a facebook user and love the digi stamps.

Bye for now

Be a Unicorn by Karleigh Sue

I had such a busy weekend making up lots of lovely projects with my Karleigh Sue digis and I'm kick starting showing them off with this beauty. She's called Be a Unicorn and she comes in not one but two versions, clothed and a little more risque. I have kept her dignity on this one and chosen to work with her clothed version, dressing her in a striking pink dress using my promarkers. The hair and skin however are coloured with copics.

To create my card I have fussy cut her and simply mounted her on a starry paper which I added gems to for some more bling, and stamped a sentiment on. The sentiment stamp is from Visible Image.

If you love Karleigh Sue images as much as I do then do come and join us over in the Facebook fan group as we would really like to see what you are creating too. We're a friendly bunch who love lots of crafty chat so give us a knock, pull up a chair and make yourself comfy. You'd be most welcome!

I'll be back soon with some more projects to share!

Queen Collector by Karleigh Sue

Hi folks! Just stopping by to share a project I have made using Queen Collector, a recent new release image from Karleigh Sue. I think she's adorable and she was just perfect for a tag bookmark.

She is coloured with Copics and Promarkers, and I've given her grown some extra glitz with distress stickles. The sentiment is hand stamped and edged with distress ink and I have mounted her on an old book page , distressed, with some script washi tape.

I hope you've enjoyed taking a look at my work. If you want to see more Karleigh Sue projects and share your own do join us in our brand new Facebook  fan group. You can find us here.

Retail Therapy by Karleigh Sue ( and some exciting news!)

Hello there! Today I want to share with you a card I have made using the cute Retail Therapy by Karleigh Sue. Perfect for those shopaholics we all know ( and maybe even are- although craft stash is more our thing than clothes I am guessing!).  She is coloured with promarkers and copics, and I have mat and layered her using offcuts of paper from my stash. I have SO many and am on a mission to use them up- so I can buy more lol!

For those that follow Karleigh Sue, you may know there have been some changes lately with the Facebook fan pages, and Cheri's art has been being celebrated and promoted in the Queens of Coloring group, along with the work of other colouring book artists. We have come to realise that while that page is sassily fabulous, it doesn't seem to be attracting digi users who love to craft, and we are missing seeing what you lovely people are making with your Karleigh Sue images. So, with that in mind we have decided to set up a brand new fan page, for crafters to share their makes and chat about all things purely Karleigh Sue. We really want it to be a success and would LOVE to have you join us there. You can find the page right here so do click the link, hit the like button, and join in the chat if you can. I promise you a very warm welcome.

Karleigh Sue New Release- Tequila

It's new release day over at Karleigh Sue and today I'm sharing a clean and simple card using the sexy Tequila.

To create my card I simply merged her with a sentiment in Craft Artist before printing her out and colouring with promarkers and copics and mat and layering on coloured card stock. Easy to do yet quite effective too.

Don't forget to pop across to the Inspiration Blog to see what my teamies have made with some of the other new release images.

Julia Spiri New Release- The Princess Margaret

It's time for another new release from Julia Spiri and as always she's drawn some stunning images. This time it's princesses, and you can find them here.

I have worked with The Princess Margaret. She's so adorable and I loved colouring her wavy hair. Every princess needs a castle so I used a cut file on my silhouette cameo to create her a pretty pink palace.

Don't forget Julia runs regular challenges so do pop across to the blog if you want to play along. You can also share your work on her Facebook page - we love to see what you create with her images.

Jessica Jones by Karleigh Sue

Howdy folks! Just popping by to share a little bit of Karleigh Sue inspiration with you all, using the ultra sexy Jessica Jones. Isn't she ace? I'm a bit of a country girl at heart so love the new western themed digis from Cheri- go check them all out in the store here, or on the Inspiration Blog to see what my teamies have been doing with them too.

To create my card I coloured with copics and promarkers, and mounted her on some distressed scrapbook paper behind a frame. The senti was cut using a Tim Holtz aplhabet die and adhered to kraft card.

I hope this has inspired you to get creative this weekend.

Have a good one!
